Rigsby

Meet Rigsby! He’s a 75-pound, 4-year-old dog born on September 14, 2020. Rigsby is a sweet, energetic boy who loves to swim and play fetch—non-stop, so be prepared to keep up or your arm might fall off! While Rigsby gets along well with other dogs, he’s not a fan of cats. He’s also great around older teens and adults, but due to some challenges adjusting to little ones, he would do best in a home without small children. He can interact with children under supervision, but he’s not comfortable living with infants or toddlers on a daily basis.

Rigsby is housebroken, crate trained, and knows several cues, including come, sit, stay, place, wait, crate, touch, and fetch. His leash training is a work in progress—he knows “heel” but could use more practice, especially since he reacts to parked cars during walks. However, he rides well in a vehicle, with his quirky behavior limited to parked cars.

Rigsby thrives in an active environment, so he’d be happiest in a home that can include him in family activities and provide the daily exercise he needs. Ideally, a home with a large, fenced-in yard would be perfect for him to run, play, and enjoy those sunny days. A place where he could swim would be a bonus!

Rigsby is fully medically vetted—he’s neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, on monthly prevention, and microchipped. If you think Rigsby might be a good fit for your family, you can start the adoption process by completing a pre-adoption online application.
