Meet Kuna: A Survivor with a Heart of Gold
Kuna’s journey hasn’t been easy. Found roaming Marshall County in a severely emaciated state, he was rescued just in time by Animal Control and entrusted to us for a second chance. With patience, care, and a whole lot of love, Kuna has finally begun to fill out—and now, he’s ready to find the forever home he deserves.
Approximately 4 years old and full of life, Kuna is a handsome, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his energy. By the grace of God, he is heartworm negative—a blessing after all he’s endured. He’s a total sweetheart who thrives on love and connection.
Kuna will need a securely fenced yard and a family committed to giving him the affection, structure, and exercise he craves. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he’d do best with older children who won’t be easily knocked over during play. He gets along well with female and submissive dogs, but we’re not sure about cats just yet.
Kuna is crate-trained, housebroken, and knows how to sit for his food. He’s eager to please but very strong on a leash, so he’ll need an easy-walk harness and continued leash training. With consistency and love, he’ll blossom into the loyal companion he’s meant to be.
Kuna is fully vetted—neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), and on prevention. He’s ready to begin his next chapter with a family who sees the beauty in his story and the joy in his spirit.
To welcome Kuna into your heart and home, please complete our online pre-adoption application. He’s waiting for someone who believes in second chances—and is ready to give him the love he’s never stopped hoping for.
