Umbra’s name means shadow, but this beautiful soul is anything but dim. Rescued just in time from a local government‑run shelter, Umbra narrowly escaped a heartbreaking fate — and now he’s ready to step into a life filled with safety, love, and belonging.

Umbra is a 2–3‑year‑old black Labrador, weighing approximately 75 pounds, with copper eyes that look straight into your heart. He is the perfect blend of playful energy and gentle calm — a loving, expressive boy who wants nothing more than to be close to his people.

Temperament & Personality

Affection is Umbra’s love language. He adores belly rubs, sweet kisses, and being showered with attention. His smile is bright, his spirit is joyful, and his desire to connect is unmistakable.

He has a wonderful ability to calm down and relax once his energy needs are met, making him a lovely companion both for activity and quiet time.

Other Dogs, Cats & Kids

Umbra does best with female dogs or submissive males, and he would thrive as an only dog. His heart belongs to people — he melts under affection and craves companionship.

We do not yet know how Umbra is with cats or children. We believe he would do best with teenagers.
